Understanding Your Usage
Kalema provides a dedicated Credits page where you can track your usage, view your balance breakdown, and monitor how much you've used this month.
Accessing the Credits Page
To view your credit usage:
Click on "Credits" in the sidebar
Or go to Settings → Credits
Available Balance
At the top of the page, you'll see your total available credits. This is the combined total of all your credit sources.
Below the total, you'll find a reminder that trial and purchased credits never expire.
Monthly Usage
The usage bar shows how much of your credits you've used this month:
Percentage: Shows your usage as a percentage
Credits used: The exact number of credits consumed
Total: Your starting balance for the month
This helps you understand your consumption patterns and plan accordingly.
Credit Sources Breakdown
The Credit Sources section shows where your credits come from:
Trial: Credits from your one-time trial purchase ($3 for 60 credits)
Subscription: Monthly credits from your current plan
Purchased: Extra credits from credit packages you've bought
Each source shows the remaining credits available from that category.
Upgrade Recommendations
If your usage is high, Kalema will suggest upgrading to a higher plan. You'll see a recommendation card when:
You've used more than 80% of your monthly credits
You're on a lower tier and could benefit from more credits
Tips for Managing Usage
Check regularly: Monitor your usage weekly to avoid running out
Plan ahead: If you have a big content project, consider purchasing extra credits
Upgrade if needed: If you consistently use 80%+ of your credits, consider upgrading your plan
Tip: Subscription credits are used first, so check your usage before your renewal date to make sure you're getting full value from your plan.
