Editing and Publishing
Once your article is generated, you can edit and refine it using Kalema's powerful article editor. This guide covers all editing features, from basic text changes to AI-powered rewriting.

Opening the Article Editor
Access your article editor by:
Going to Blog Projects
Clicking on your project
Clicking the View (eye icon) button next to a completed article
For articles still in progress, click the Edit (pencil icon) to continue the wizard.
Editor Layout
The article editor has two main sections:
Left Panel: The rich text editor where you edit your content
Right Sidebar: Article details including meta information, keywords, and statistics

Editing Meta Information
In the right sidebar, you can edit:
Meta Title: The SEO title that appears in search results
Meta Description: The description shown in search result snippets
Primary Keyword: Your main target keyword
Secondary Keywords: Supporting keywords for the article
The sidebar also shows real-time statistics:
Word Count: Total words in your article
Character Count: Total characters
Keyword Occurrences: How many times each keyword appears in the content

Managing Featured Images
The Featured Image section lets you:
View Current Image: See the featured image thumbnail
Upload New Image: Click the upload button to choose a new image file
Delete Image: Remove the current featured image
Open in New Tab: View the full-size image
Featured images are used as the main image when publishing to WordPress or Shopify.

Using the Rich Text Editor
The Jodit editor provides a full toolbar for formatting your content:
Text Formatting: Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough
Headings: H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6
Lists: Bullet points and numbered lists
Links: Add and edit hyperlinks
Images: Insert and manage images
Tables: Create and edit tables
Source Code: Edit raw HTML when needed

AI Writing Assistant
Select any text in the editor to activate the AI Assistant toolbar. This powerful feature helps you improve your content with AI:
Ask AI
Type any question or instruction about the selected text. The AI will respond with suggestions or rewritten content.
Rewrite Options
Simplify: Make text easier to understand
Re-write: Improve clarity and flow
Make Longer: Expand with more details and examples
Make Shorter: Condense while keeping main points
Make List: Convert text into bullet points
Make Table: Convert information into a table format
Add Keywords
Enter keywords and the AI will naturally incorporate them into the selected text, improving SEO without sounding forced.
Add Links
The AI suggests relevant external links to add to your selected text.

Preview and Apply Changes
After the AI generates new content:
Review the preview of the suggested changes
Click Apply to replace the selected text
Or click Cancel to keep the original

Fact-Check Your Article
Use the built-in fact-checking feature to verify claims in your article:
Click the Fact Check tab in the sidebar
The AI analyzes your content for factual claims
Review the results showing verified and unverified statements
Fact-check results are cached so you can return to them later without re-running the analysis.


Saving Your Article
Click the Save button in the top toolbar to save all your changes. This saves:
Content changes
Meta title and description updates
Keyword modifications
Featured image changes
A confirmation message appears when your changes are saved successfully.

Exporting Your Article
Click the Export button to download your article as a JSON file. The export includes:
Meta title and description
Primary and secondary keywords
Full article content (HTML)
Export timestamp
This is useful for backup or importing content into other systems.
Sharing Your Article
Click the Share button to:
Use your device's native share feature (on supported devices)
Copy the article link to clipboard (on desktop)
Returning to Your Project
Click the Back arrow in the top left to return to your project's article list.
Tips for Effective Editing
Check keyword density: Use the keyword occurrence counter to ensure proper keyword usage
Use AI for refinement: Select awkward passages and use "Re-write" to improve flow
Verify facts: Run fact-check on articles with statistics or claims
Save frequently: Click Save after making significant changes
